Portable stand (Packjack)

Yesterday (after my 530 km ride :D) wanted to lube my chain and I had a hard time putting the bike on the stand. My cheap 49,99$ stand is all crocked after 3 years of abuse and I'm worried I'll end up dropping the bike.

I'll replace it this year with a Pit Bull but was looking at another solution I can keep on or around the bike and found this:

Anybody ever used that? Looks like a great solution for chain maintenance while being extremely compact (I live in a condo so space matters).

I bought one last year to use with my cbr125r (narrow rear tire and lack of spools made using a proper stand difficult). It can be a little finicky to get the positioning just right but once set up it's very solid. Just make sure you're on a flat piece of ground when you're using it. Obviously for any proper chain adjustment you'll need a rear stand but for quick cleaning and lubing of the chain (especially on long trips) it's awesome.

Neat. Looks like a handy little tool for touring. I guess the left side of the bike leans on the kickstand? It looks really unstable and flimsy in the photos but if it's reliable I might buy one.

Looks good, I like it :)

Finally ordered one yesterday so I'll update you on the functionality once I get it.

Nice!!! Only issue is my chain lube dun fit in my trunk... Guess if I'm goin for a long trip I'll have to bring a backpack or get a tail bag.

I have something similar that I used when I had a bike without a center stand. Worked well.

Interesting, the only issue I do see is my big use for this would be cleaning & lubing the chain, however that's on the kickstand side. This means it would work, but wouldn't be near as easy as putting it on an actual rear stand.

I think you're missing the point here...

Granted it's sort of portable, but given the choice of this or a rear stand (both sitting side-by-side) in a garage, I'd likely pick the actual rear stand. I've also never put over 1000km on one ride on the bike before, so I can always care for the chain when I get back vs having to do it on the road.

It's designed for use on the road. I don't think it was intended to replace a paddock stand.

He also lives in a condo. Not a lot of space to store a stand and there isn't a garage to store all your goodies.

It's designed to be used on the road, not in place of something better suited for the job once back home.

Finally got a chance to use my PackJack that I ordered earlier this season. We had such crappy weather that last Sunday was my first real long ride.

Overall I was really pleased with this little gizmo. It turns out that it takes me about 5 seconds to lift the bike on this while it takes me about a minute on my el cheapo stand that is all crooked. So for lubbing and cleaning the chain, i'll now use the PackJack.

How long did it take to get delivered?
I live in an apartment building so this would be a great alternative to me getting a proper stand and carrying it down to the garage every time I need to lube the chain

It took a few days but it came from Calgary so perhaps postal service (or even that company) is a little delayed due to the situation in Alberta. I did get an e-mail from the owner next day to confirm everything however.
