Port Dover Riding Roads

Hey heading to Port Dover for Friday the 13th, never been there so want to see if there are any good roads to hit on the way there. Coming from Oshawa probably taking the 407 to Hamilton, then after that I am open to suggestions. Would like to hit some twisties if possible;)

Good luck not much between Hamilton and Dover that you would remotely call twisty!

At Cayuga after the River Road from Caledonia cut across Hwy.3 and continue on down to Bing and Dunnville then back along the lake to Dover. Full day of riding for you! Continue past Dover to Long Point by the Radical road etc.

Dunnville -> Port Dover on the southernmost road you can take = $Money. Better in non-cottaging season, though.

I'm taking this ride tomorrow
Start at the Hwy 6 off ramp from the 403
This route will hit most of the nicest roads, at least on the way down
Heading back is pleasant, if not particularly exciting

Actually took a modified version of this ride this morning.
Took river road to Dunnville then back along lakeshore to Selkirk, then turned
around and took the same route back. Some beautiful twisty roads with a good friend
for company. Me with my Virago he with his V-Strom. Passed a pack of about 25 riders
also going along River Road. My arm got tired doing the Queen's wave to all of them ;)

I love those roads as well! But I always get stuck at one section of dirt road (not by choice) right around the south easy end of RIver Road. Is that why your map route ends just before it??

Look forward to hearing from you (and/or anyone else that knows the area)

Turn right at Sutor Rd to avoid the gravel/dirt crap road that Haldimand forgets about! Turn left on the regional highway and about a mile down take a right and head for the lake front road, then turn right and head for Dover.

They`ve paed some more of the road but I havent had a chance to explore it yet.

River road is freshly paved, and when it starts to go south it is this really hard packed gravel (almost a like a course asfalt).

Great ride!!
