Port Dover Friday 13th...

This year Friday the 13th fell and falls on Feb, March and November only, no summer time celebration, not sure how well the November will be. The summer ones are a blast.

The PD13 last year was in the summer and was amazing, the turn out was awesome as was the vendors, most major cruiser manufactures were there, with live music, bbq ribs, and an awesome show of customized bikes by the regular joes and pros alike. Better that going to the lame *** bike shows in winter, where they charge you a ton to get in to see less that 10% of what you get at PD13 for free, best of all you ride there and back!

With the next PD13 in November I don't think the turn out will be as great and big as the summer ones. Does anyone know of any other ones similar bike events that distance to the GTA happening in the summer?

I found a link with listing on events in Ontario this year, has anyone one been to the PD13 in summer and know any event large and comparable from this list.

Probably only thing that even comes close, in the same distance would be Bobcaygeon Bikefest, mid Jun.

What about US events? Only one I know if is Americade which is this week

Thanks I`m looking at local a few hours from GTA events that won`t take the whole week-end up.

Not same day events - but there are a couple that are fun within a short day - 5 maybe 5 1/2 hours ride - Thunder in the Valley in Johnstone, Pa is I think the third week in June, and the third week in July Wild and Wonderful Mountainfest in Morgantown, WV - the campground includes a shuttle bus to the main venue, so you can relax and knock back a few - just don't plan on getting much sleep without ear plugs. My sister lives in Johnstone, so I don't worry about accommodation there, but I have had more fun at Mountainfest :) Both can be done in a 3 day weekend. I'm not doing either this year - going to Sturgis, just because I haven't yet.

Around Erie PA there is the Roar on the Shore, some time early summer, don't know exactly when, but its only a few hours away. never been, but some people I know have been there. I don't know how pirate Centric it might be though?

If I get a chance, maybe I can google it?

Most those are too far away for a reasonable weekend ride.

The Parry Sound SBR doesn't even count, every time I went it was depressing as all hell. This is coming from someone that really likes PD13

This. As close as you'll get in Ontario to pd13.

June 21st and from a video or 2 I have seen they claim 14,000 bikes last year. A lot of bikes for that little town. Very nice area.

I've never been to Bikers Reunion but it sounds interesting. At least the roads in the area would be nice.

Roar on the Shore, July 15-18, 2015, Erie PA.
I stopped there on the way back last year from the Dragon. Good times!!

AND for the price of admission, you get to see L.A.Guns, Jackyl, and Dokken!
At least April Wine will bring some culture to the lineup.

Pretty boring ride to Erie...you need to head east to hit any good roads.
