They don't make the bikes. They're outsourced to a dedicated bicycle manufacturer. Probably Votec, as they made all of Porsche's other branded bicycles.
Porsche bike? Must be the thing to do these days. At the auto show, Mercedes was displaying a bicycle as well, which apparently listed for around $3g's.
These days? Hardly. It's nothing new for them. This is a friend's "Benz" he bought new in 97, It's a re-badged AMP Research B4, Benz also sold the next generation AMP Research B5 under their own name, along with a slew of re-branded comfort bikes in the 90s.
KTM started as a locksmith in the 30s. Their bicycle division was started in 51. My old dealer (Helmut) had a couple of mid 90s KTM mountain bikes in his garage last time I was in it. Nothing special. Mid level frames/groups.

To be able to have a bike for only 3g. I have wheels that cost more than that. When you see prices like that on a bike in that situation it's usually grossly inflated purely because it says Mercedes on it and it's a "limited edtion"
^^^^ speaking of porsche, pretty much how I felt when one less than bright Ukranian politician brings his shiny new Porsche Turbo to work in the midst of violent protestors.
