Platinum Powersports saved the day

Just want to share my very positive experience with http://www.platinum-powersports.com/.

Just until a few days ago, I didn't even know that it existed, yet, the owner is a member here at GTAM, who has given me great advice not once or twice. Same happened the other day when I was sharing my regret for not getting a Canyon Dancer earlier to make a deadline I have (transport the bike to the track for the first time). Toastman (the nick of the guy) solved my problem right away! His store (Platinum Powersports) shipped a Canyon Dancer to me right away, which I practically got at my doorstep the next day! Not only that, but he also gave me some very valuable advice to a modification I can do the the thing, which essentially reduces the pressure on the bar weights. In fact, I asked him to do the mod before sending me the item, and so he did :)

Anyway, just wanted to express my gratitude to that shop, I can't be more satisfied! My experience was effortless and great! A+++

Another great review for Donald and Platinum Powersports.

I've gotten many sets of tires from Donald (Toastman) and they are always at a great price, and always shipped quickly to my door.

This time I figured I'd pay him a visit. I rode down to Clinton where his shop is. It was a nice ride, and I've never been to the shores of lake Huron before so I figured "why not?!"

Upon arrival at his beautiful shop I was greated warmly, and was made to feel at home. My bike was treated with the care it deserved.....and as always I was given great customer service.

New tires, balanced and installed thanks to Platinum Powersports.

btw....my OLD BT-023's lasted 18,000kms +

Without Donald's help a few weeks ago, we wouldn't have made the grid for ( and won) our endurance race. The afternoon before our race, our bike was brought in, forks removed, leaky seal replaced, new springs installed and fresh oil, and all buttoned up in just a couple of hours. I have carbed bikes, fuel injected bikes, streetbikes, race bikes, dirtbikes, pitbikes, japanese bikes, and european bikes, and there isn't anything I wouldn't trust Donald and Platinum to do.

Do you have a pic of the modification? We used the canyon dancers to take my GF's bike to the track the other weekend and it bent the bar end so bad the throttle started sticking. We checked the grip, it didn't move, once you removed the bar end, throttle worked perfect :(

Just reading this, was on a trip to west coast. I'm at work, no pic, but this mod is all about cutting off the ends of the cups, so that the cup can slide over the grip all the way and the bar ends remain exposed. That's all there is to it, and it seems to work like a charm.

Sweet :) Thanks! I'll do that to mine before my next track day!
