I have these tires on my Drz400 and I believe that these tires maybe the reason my bike handles so poorly on trails. The bike just feels unstable, frankly it scares me especially when its wet out. I recently rode a buddy cr250 with offroad tires and it was unbelievable the differance in handling between the two. Am I on to something here, I realize one is a enduro tire and the other is dirt but something is not right about my bike. Any thoughts on this.

Riding your DRZ with dualsport tires vs the CR250 would be night and day difference. Nevermind the 4-stroke/2-stroke difference, you're looking at 80+ pounds less weight, MX suspension, and proper dirt tires.

If you're riding trails alot I would look into a more aggresive tire, and get somebody to look at your suspension.

At first I thought suspension but after riding trails after it rained the more Im thinking it has to be the tires, it just doesnt get any traction. The fact that these tires were sooo expensive and that they are Pirelli is dissapointing, not to mention the rear tire is half wornout with just under 2000kms on them.
They are 60/40, I guess next tires should be more dirt.

If I was in the market for new dual sport tires I would be taking a serious look at the Motoz Tractionators. They have received good reviews from guys that need a DOT approved tire but ride mostly offroad.

If the suspension is wrong it will force the tires to take up the slack. The tires could still be the problem, but one will compound the other.
