I'm 29, been licenced and insured with Pilot since I was 16. No accidents, no suspensions, no demerit points, 1 speeding ticket 15k over 2 years ago.
I ride a 1988 Honda NT650 HAWK GT, 647cc. 50hp on a good day.
I'm also a motorcycle safety instructor.

Last year my insurance went from $410/yr to $500/yr due to the ticket. Understandable.
Just got my renewal for 2011/2012....

Broker says Pilot is trying to get out of Motorcycle insurance... that'll do it!

Increases like this are driving Ontarians to go without insurance or de-fraud the system in some way... forcing us to consider being dishonest or break laws. Something needs to change... and all the last little "insurance reform" did was increase the insurance on my truck by $300 for less coverage.

Checking other companies now, I'm finding between $1050 (Rider's Plus) - $1300 (Jevco).... is EVERYONE trying to get out of Motorcycle insurance?

This is rediculous... and now I have to consider giving up something that's been in my blood since I was 10 because I can't afford to Insure a 24yr old VINTAGE motorcycle in Ontario.

End of rant...

I thought rate increases were governed by the government and subject to their approval. How can the government approve a 300% rate increase?

lol went from 1200 to 2700 with the same company just for canceling for 2 months. stupid mistake :( lol

Mcguilty in action, please make sure he gets voted in again after he single handedly screwed each and every one in Ontario. Too bad October is not that cold for us to remember our gas bill when we go vote.

I hope he fails miserably.
 
all politicians are the same, look at rob ford, he was our knight in shining armour (henry VIII's armour) look how that turned out... all his promises turned out to be garbage. with mcguinty gone that would leave a conservative federal government, provincial and municipal.. would be scary.
