Picked up my lift today from Harbor Freight. Also got the separate wheel chock. I got the lift for $299.99 by going to 7 Eleven and picking up a magazine for 5 bucks which has a coupon in the back. The chock is also on sale for $39.99. I'm going to love this lift. Here's a couple pics with my bike on lifted.

hey gmang
what magazine was it and where did u buy the lift from?
nice bike and cool lift. did u pick up the lift urself or delivery ???

Very nice. I have the exact same lift in yellow from Princess Auto. I think there might be a Chinese connection. You will love it. Enjoy.

I got the bike from Harbor Freight in Michigan. Lucky for me I live near Windsor . The magazine is cycle world. I picked it up myself and used my Jetta TDI to pick it up. It weighs about 300 pounds or so. They helped me put it in my car.

Nice! Definitely something on the shopping list if I ever get the space to put one. That's a sweet price!

It's definitely awesome. I want to see if my car will drive over it when it's all the way down so I can just park my car over it in the garage. Will do some measurements tomorrow.

Did you pick it up with the motorcycle on it? Either ways, you must be strong!! LOL j/k congrats on the purchase.

Congrats on the lift. Good move on the wheel chock; I've read the wheel vice that comes with that lift is garbage. He'll, I've got a Direct Lift and I didn't like the vice it came with and it's a lot more solid a vice. I went with a chock too.

I store my trailer hoisted onto its tail against the back wall of my garage. To get it out I lower the lift, remove the chock (it releases with only two nuts) and the trailer rolls out over top of the lift. Hopefully your car will clear.

nice lift!!

alright everyone, DIY motorcycle repairs at gmang's house!

BYOB

bring your own bike! :)

Although it's 300 lbs, is it easy to wheel around? Could it be lifted on it's side to rest against the wall?

It's really easy to wheel around. The back wheels are fixed and the front are castors. I haven't tried lifting it on it's side but I have no issue lifting one end of it. I grew up on a farm so my back is pretty strong. You guys are welcome to come. You do know I'm near Windsor right?

How easy would it be to tip over this stand with the bike on it? I understand that the stand is heavy, but the bike is heavier and sits at that height...

Sweet lift!

If it's too high you can try removing the wheels and drilling a few holes through the flanges of the base frame and using concrete anchors to bolt it to the floor of your garage. I bet a few 3/8" Hilti anchors would be pretty solid.

What do you do if you want to work on the front end?

Depends on the bike. Sometimes you make a box to support the frame or engine between the wheels.

Also, on most bikes with a centre stand, you can work on the front end while the bike's on the stand (obviously this doesn't apply to most SS bikes).
