I grew up in the 80's as well. It's funny how the music from a particular decade can become the soundtrack for your life. It's not Phil Collins, but I was loving this one the other day. It's shameful, but I love it.

Still remember watching this episode when it originally aired. That show was way ahead of it's time.

Boom 97.3 was doing an 80's weekend, my radio was locked to it. GOOD TIMES!!!!
I actually bought the Paul Simon Graceland CD on a whim a few days ago.

I always tell my friend, who also LOVES 80's that me and him grew up in the wrong time....
 
saw genesis in concert a couple years ago on their reunion tour. phil was awesome. drummed for a bit then took over the mic.

I think it's all relative. I came of age in the early 80's, but I really wish I had experienced the 60's. Now that was an era.

Not so much a fan of his solo work but was a Genesis fan. Huge respect for his music weather I like it or not, a talented man to be sure.

I'm not gonna lie. I've always *LOVED* this song. Very evocative.

The 80s were awesome, no doubt about it. The music always reminds me of being a kid. I had older sisters, so I was always being subjected to Duran Duran or some other uber-80s power band.
