Perforated pipe for muffler

I remember seeing a thread on this but I can't find it now that I need it.

I crushed my canister and was able to got a new sleeve but need to find 18" of 2 1/4 perforated pipe to replace the inner baffle. I can get it on line but if there was a place in the GTA that sells it I'd prefered to pick it up.

Or does anyone have a Yosh RS-3 can with a 2 1/4 inlet they would sell. I dont care about the condition of the can, as long as the baffle is somewhat reusable

Thanks

Just went through this myself over the winter. Any bike dealer can order 2" or 2 1/4" baffle from Hindle. I think Parts Canada and Motovan are distributers. Hindle have the biggest range of spares and replacement parts.

It fitted my TRS perfectly and I just had to order a new Yosh replacement sleeve to go with it.

I have a hindle can that is dented up... perforated pipe should be useable. PM if interested.

The problem I've found with Yoshimura is that the duopoly of Motovan and Parts Canada are the distributors for Canada and its next to impossible to get spare parts from those guys, it takes months. Why sell you a $70 sleeve when they can up-sell you a full slipon for $400 ;-)

If you call Yoshimura in the US they will not sell to you even if you have a US shipping address they won't sell to you unless its a US credit card with a US billing address. I have to get a guy at our company in California to purchase with his credit card and ship it USPS to me. Crazy. Really crappy customer service.

If you want less expensive exhaust go with something like Hindle or M4. At least you can get parts for those.

would have just went to metal super market or something like thatand bought the 20" or so of tubing and drill it... total cost would be like $5.

You would be drilling holes for a week. And good luck getting the spacing right

would the tubing not crush after a few holes....cylindrical + holes.....

I dont think so if you take your time and let the drill cut properly and not push, it would just take a week to drill them all....Id estimate about 40-50 holes per line around the pipe, times about 5-6 rows per inch...Times 18 inches is 3000+ holes...= good luck and happy drilling

I've got a rashed up RS3 + unused baffle. PM me if this'll do the trick.
