Pennsylvania Roads..looking for help

A few of us heading down to Warren PA mid September, We are looking for good twisty curving roads that some sport touring riders can have some fun on. I have been down once before and ridden the obvious so we're looking for roads off the beaten path. Any input would be greatly appreciated, the more turns the better!

Thanks Mike,

Just east of Warren, check out The Longhouse Scenic Byway, runs south-east of 59( road before the bridge over the Allegheny Reservoir) over to 321. Lots of good roads in the area, 120 (St.Marys to Lock Haven), 144 ( Galeton to Moshannon),4001 (Kettle Creek Rd.), 2001 (Wykoff Run Rd.), 44, 555, 879, 872, 414, 664, 287......, just to mention few. Just east of Renovo, running north of 120 (follow the signs), take the road to Hyner View State Park( on your way up, watch for southbound cars in your lane, road is narrow).

I was just down there last week. Honestly, pretty much everything is fantastic through the Allegany Forest. The maps don't do these roads any justice. In particular, I really enjoyed 666 and the 949 through Clear Creek State Park, but there wasn't a "bad" road to ride. Route 66 is kind of straight so I'd avoid that one.

Dual sport bikes would have a hay day in the trails, which I did.

Thanks Mike,

144 all the way down to State College is really nice. If you have enough time. Two weeks ago after searching the U.S Motorcycle Roads Website I took a day ride and rode the hole Route 26 road from State College to the Maryland Border. It really is probably the best road in P.A From Everett P.A South is where most of the Fun is.

I'm too lazy to look up Warren, but in the East 125 south from Shamokin is awesome. It's close to the burning ghost town of Centrailia if you go. (townsite abandoned after they set a coal seam on fire under the town - houses are gone but roads and signs still there - you can see smoke coming out of the ground)
In the west 666 is also great.
Both these roads have great twists and elevation changes.

We are heading down to VA and on the coming up long weekend, and will be riding through Pa on the way down.

My favorite roads are 44, 144, and 414. Scenic light house Dr at Warren is also a great road, but not as long.

250 and 33 are still the best besides the tail of the dragon.

Roads around Woodbury area (especially along the Hudson River) are great roads. I just drove down to NY and found some more new roads.

Man do I miss the 250 and 33 they were both amazing when we were there last year, love to go back again.

We are going back on the labor day long weekend, weather permitting.

50 is great too, especially the section between B and C (just like the dragon, but more dangerous).

From point C, you can either head West to Elkins or East to 33. I have done that twice. 72 South of 219 is more suitable for dual sport as it was not paved for the most part of it. It may have been paved now as I did this route on my 1st time down that way a few years ago.

If I stay at Cumberland, this would be the route I would do (or did).

Don't think 550 km is just like riding here and be done in 6 to 7 hours, these are all day twist roads and it will take you 10 some hours to complete. I was always late getting back to the hotel, and I start early too.

That first route you posted sure looks dangerous. Especially the Iran stops, not so worried about Finland.

I don't know if it's just my computer but that's one crazy route. LOL

LOL, those route that Cheu said are great and I wish I can join that weekend.

If your looking for more twist and turn , ride through PA, using 44-144-23 all the way to WV and have fun doing 400kms of twisties.
