So a buddy and I drove down to New Hampshire for a two day track school at Penguin. I cannot say enough about how great this course was. The staff was so helpful on and off the track. Very organized. Thanks to Eric Woods and all the staff.

What was different about it compared to our local stuff (if you've done anything local)?

To be honest I haven't done anything like this course locally. It was recommended to me by a rider at a track day. Plus we wanted to do some riding around the White Mountain National Forest. So we killed two birds with one stone. I know FAST is $359 per day and this was $500 for two days. Well worth it.

If you dont mind maybe you could break down the two days, what you did, what you thought. Where did you stay, use your own or rent bikes for course... Etc...

Okay I'll do my best. We trailered our bikes there because we were gonna ride the area after the course. We stayed at the Marriott. They offer a reduced rate for racing school students.
The day consisted of 20mins riding session and 40min classroom sessions. The instructors would breakdown the track corner by corner and point out reference points for breaking and correct lines for hitting the apex. There was a lot of one on one with instructors on the track where he would follow the student and then the student following the instructor. Great learning experiance. Second day was a track walk and more classroom and riding sessions. The riding sessions were open track but if anyone still needed the guidence of an instructor u only had to ask. They had bike, leathers and helmets ready for renting if you so desired. Great course. I will probably do it again. They had three groups. Track Experience- which were people learning the track and road racing. Basic- for more experienced rider where after the course you would get your race license and Advanced-for track racers. All and all a great time.

I have been to New Hampshire twice with Penguin. Great experiance.

During the times you were not on the track they also held sessions on specifics.

They spent one session doing a suspension lecture, explnations and adjustments, another session, they had us riding a TTR125 SM in the pits, praticing body position, one session we were on Pit lane working on throttle and brake tansitions. They make sure your day is full of stuff to help make your time on the track the best it can be.
