Some idiot got ran over by a street car at Queen/Spadina on the tracks, just a little ways up from Queen st going North.. The accident never even occurred at a walking light.
Firetrucks, police, ambulances, news reporters and a storm of cagers stuck in traffic are clogged on spadina (north and south), and a bit of Queen street.

Update*

An 'elderly' woman J-walked the street and got rammed by a street car.

Old people and J-walking is a Catch 22. Walking to the lights is a strain on their heart / legs but thay aren't agile enough to dodge traffic when they J-walk. Often bad eyesight as well.

If she survives it's *ca-ching* for her and her offspring.

So you figure she will sue for being hit during the course of an illegal act and win.
I do feel sorry for her as she was genuinely injured and am not saying she wont sue, but people need to take responsibilty for their actions and not expect to benefit from their wrong doings.
That in itself is the problem and the reason insurance premiums are so high.

She won't stand a chance to win, but whoever is managing TTC's insurance will settle.

I wouldn't be surprised if she will get a bill for delayed TTC service during the rush hour. (and I was wondering why the heck other streetcars were turning around at Bathurst station loop).

what a retard

That's a weak generalization. Last time I went riding with my KTM dealer was at the SteelCity Riders Hare Scrambles track. I had to hustle to keep up with him, and he had just turned 70.
