PC 3 usb vs Juice box PRO

So I cant get the PCV for my bike, however the JB Pro is an option.
or the old PC3...

From what ive read the JB Pro would blow the pc3 outta the water in terms of features and options.

Now lets not jump on the Two Brothers hate wagon...the Juice box's are made by PC (or they are the same company now or something)

So i would assume since they are made in the same factory in the USA, quality is a non issue.

were also not talking about racing here either...

JB Pro is cheaper price than the pc3 or pcV

pc3 is pretty dated tech, but would do the trick on my 03 z1k.

but the JB pro has stuff like 10 map memory on the fly, etc.
-reads PC3 and PCv maps
-can use PC software and dyno's

Any experts care to opine?

Also i read something like PC reads values from "something" and the JB's read values "from something else"
not sure what it meant...or if that was referring to the old Juice Box regular. Which i wouldnt even consider.

thank you

What are you trying to accomplish here? What do you want this FI controller to be doing?

Figure out where your going to get it properly tuned and ask them, I'm sure there's more people that tune the PC. I have no experience with the JB but I do have both a bazzaz unit and PC. Personally I would take the bazzaz over both of the other options if the bazzaz is available.

+1 for Bazzaz. I've used PC and Bazzaz and like the Bazzaz unit much better.

but with the ability of using the PC maps on the JB, same software, and its made by PC...how could it not be better than a pc3 for my bike...

but seeing as no one is using JB here...PC seems the popular choice. No baz for mine either..

Even with the PC tuning ability.....your basically tuning it using the seat of your pants...those old PC3s are open loop. It all comes down to what you are trying to accomplish....do you want something to play around with or actually tune your bike properly to get the most KM"s and power out..

GO closed loop...unless your bike is having horrible fuel mapping issues, stock ECU / map should suffix just fine. Have you pulled your plugs to see what they are doing? what kind of MPG are you getting out of a tank? what octane level are you running? is there excessive carbon build up?...

havent got that far...bike is running fine...just wanting to follow some popular Z1 mods...

need to start with either a Pc3 or a JB Pro...no PCV or bazzaz available...

will be doing 4-1 zx9 headers and a new slip on.
dyno tune of course

but there is a massive following for the zx9 setup and so many quality maps made.

just changed the plugs, the old ones were black but fine.

obv going for the best fuel/power.

getting around 260km/ tank max right now.

200-220 light - 40-50 reserve

I guess it's up to you which product you buy. If they both use the same software then they'll be tunable at most shops (still double check)and you probably can't get a closed loop system PC5 for your bike, if you can it would be the better choice but if not either product will do what your looking for.

only closed loop is the JB Pro...no pcV for that bike

i think im gonna go with JB pro, can add an auto tune device, accepts all the PC maps and same software...or i am stuck with pc3 and open loop. Prob best idea...

If they are popular mods for your bike, a forum specific to your model might be a better place to ask that question. Although there are a lot of smart people here, something so model specific might be better asked of people who have done the mod you want to do.

thanks, ive never used the internets before...

this question isnt bike specific, its if anyone has experience with Juice Box products for fuel management

I prefer the Bazaaz stuff then PC then........whatever.
