Parking ticket in east york at east general hospital

Hey all. I got a ticket on Mortimer ave east of Coxwell ave, right along the emergency entrance to the hospital. I was parked in an area where there is a legal parking using the ticket machines. As far as I know I was legally parked. Being on the bike I did not pay for a ticket. I have a court date for February; pleaded not guilty.

Now my questions are the following:

- Has anyone here received a ticket while parked in a similar location?
- Are there different by-laws governing parking near Hospitals?
- Can bikes still park for free on city streets?

I have parked in that same area since with no problems, I just want to make sure that I am going to court with all the correct information.

If so, then I would say that you're in the right. Go over to the City of Toronto website and print out a copy of the motorcycle parking bylaw, so that you can take it with you to court.
