Paintball

I don't know where CQB is but I'd likely be interested. There's a great outdoor place in Bowmanville with four big fields and the price is good if you're interested. It's soooo much more fun than Sgt Splatters.

I've never paintball but would love to try

In a couple weeks me and a bunch of my tour buddies are going to be in Borden for a few months on course... I'm sure a few of us wouldn't mind coming down and having a bit of fun...

How does Friday September 2nd sound. Say we all meet around 6ish at CQB. ((Sorry not a fan of Splatters)) and we can play for a couple of hours. I know (3) of my friends that would for sure be in. Plus I know the owner of CQB.

Im in ajax, been lookinto play some paintball! Gotta rent the stuff, but I would be down! Bowmanville sounds better though!

You all excited to play 15 year old kids with markers that can paint a door two coats of blue with the squeeze of a trigger? Because that's what paintball's become. Hope that they froze their overpriced balls for a few days beforehand, and you may arrive home with combat welts the size of your fists which you can proudly display to your colleagues.

I work the 2nd. I'm off both the 5th (holiday) and 6th if anyone wants to paintball at http://campxpaintballfields.com/main.html I'm up for it. Check out the location and see what you think. Four outdoor fields and they're all good sized.

Yeah, then you get'em while they reload their hopper. I've never encountered anyone with frozen paintballs.

Would love to go, but busy Friday - weekends are better. Maybe next time.

Why would you hope that?

But you're right about what it's become. My kids went and there was a 20 year old they said with an automatic weapon. I'm not sure whatfun he got out of slaughtering some 10 year olds like that, I haven't had a chance to tell the owner why we won't be back yet. They quit not long after they got there. Laser tag seems more their style.

Can I get a Paintball grenade??

<<fire in the hole>> Boom everybody dies

yea, play with kids with latest speedball guns and they'll do 30balls per second continuous...and if they are any good, they'll shoot and reload at the same time. Ofcourse kids like that dont do well against actual good guys....spray and pray only works to a certain point.

I played semi competitively two years ago and its insane how much paint we would go through in a day...

BTW, we tried this last year and the year before, and nothing ever happened out of it.

I'd love to go play some paintball and dust off the gear but i dont think we'll EVER agree on a place/time that will agree with everyone.

As a former Back player on a 5 and 10 man squad
700/800 balls a game was the norm

Being Sponsored by Diablo (Area 51 in door paintball and Ultimate Paintball) / Dye helped
and made for good times watching the shock on the faces on the other teams when half a pallet of paint got dropped off at our staging area.

Paintball City often restricts field play to semi-auto fire only outside of "bring your own paint" field times. Sunday around noon is ideal for kids and other noobs. Supervision is pretty decent as well.

Sergeant Splatters is a little more intense and markers are less likely to be chronographed. If you took your kids there, I can understand your concern. One time I was there with my son, some nut job got hit in crossfire while exiting the field, so he comes into the ready area yelling, swearing, cursing, threatening to stab anyone he caught doing that again. I'm thinking WTF!

Alright since everyone seems to be busy or otherwise, why don't we plan for Sept 17th (Saturday) and we can go for an afternoon. Barrie paintball is really good, as is Wasaga. CQB is an outdoor field around Bloor and Lansdown. I'm open to suggestions. How does that sound?

My son & I are in for the 17th of Sept. Never been to Barrie paintball facility, but would love to try it out. The original spot sounds good too. Collingwood is a bit too far though.
