Paint Cracks

I hit a fooking racoon and there goes my spotless bike, the left fairing has 2 paint cracks each 2" X 2" at the area of impact with the sob.

Are these cracks easily repaired at a body shop or do I need to repaint the whole fairing?

I'm also thinking of a DIY if only the cracked areas need to be repainted. I'm looking at the colorrite website, I've never painted before and I don't know how much to order: http://www.colorrite.com/product/suzuki-yd8-metallic-sonic-silver-1710.cfm

If it's a cheap repair I'd rather do it at a professional body shop if you guys can recommend a good one in the GTA...

This isn't my bike but the cracks look like this and one is about to peel off:

That needs to be sanded and filled in. I would spray the whole fairing again if you want it to look perfect. If u try to blend it, it will be noticeable.

That looks like an impact fracture in the plastic, if you sand and fill it will probably come back. You may want to take that to a shop and get the plastic bonded, then sanded and filled. It wont be cheap but it will be right.

There are body repair compounds that will repair that. I agree with crankcall you should take it to a qualified repair shop, knowledge and experience is golden. I like the fact that you take pride in your bike's finish, why don't you (if possible, if you choose so) practice spraying objects to learn how to achieve a nice finish
it will not be cheap, you may go through 3-500 dollars worth of paint etc. to find out if you can do it or not but if you could just think of the the future possibilities. Nothing worst than seeing all those half assed finishing jobs, it's like going out in your underwear. The finish does not really need to be
show quality but it should be respectful to the point where the repair will never be noticed.
P.S. I am a real Rossi.
