Guessing 700 jobs during the construction phase, steadily droppino until final completion of all facilities.

This is planned to be an automotive R&D and testing facility, not so much a competition course (if at all). It's quite possible that various labs, prototype shops, etc could have several hundred jobs between them once it's all in place.

For those familiar with Michigan ... This is more Chelsea Proving Grounds than Grattan Raceway.

It'll be used more for sorting out suspension and stability-control and (unfortunately) self-driving algorithms, in private, out of public view.

For our purposes ... Meh.
