OPP motorcycle collides with ambulance, injures officer

An Ontario Provincial Police officer riding a motorcycle was injured after colliding with an ambulance late Monday morning.
It happened just after 11 a.m. at the intersection of March Road and Campeau Drive in Kanata.
Two OPP motorcycles had exited Highway 417 at March Road just as the ambulance was heading south along March, according to an OPP news release.
One of the motorcycles hit the ambulance while the other managed to avoid the crash.
The officer driving the crashed motorcycle was treated for a broken wrist, paramedics said, and was taken to hospital.
The ambulance had been en route to a call when the crash happened and had no patients inside.
No one else was injured.
Another ambulance was dispatched to pick up the call that the crashed ambulance had been responding to.
