opinions on Teknic gear? specifically Freeway touring jacket?

Always liked Teknic gear for the price but have never had any. Their stuff seems to be really well designed and built at a reasonable price, yet I barely ever hear mention of it which makes me wonder.

Soooo, last night ran over to Royal Distributing and they have the Freeway jacket for $240 without tax, online stores are around $340. Seems like a great touring jacket for colder weather.

Any opinions?

was looking at there touring pants and jacket also, very well made.
Picked up a Teknic outer amour jacket for my son, regular price $350 on for $79 :).
 
I have a pair of there riding pants and they have been great .

Picked them up at RD for 100.00
 
Picked up the Freeway jacket and Sprint pants yesterday, seems like nice stuff. Will report back how well they work

Btw, these are the current models for both items. Jacket is selling for $380 and pants for $220 at GP Bikes, $240 and $130 respectively at Royal with no tax this week

My race leathers were of good quality. Crashed in them a bunch of times. Had to have them repaired a few times but they always saved my ***.
 
I've owned a couple of Teknic jackets and gloves. well made, takes abuse, continues to look and feel great. You really can't go wrong.
 
When my Tourmaster wears out (it's getting close) the Freeway will likely be my next jacket.

I had an old Teknic textile jacket that I'm still upset about getting rid of. It was a little warm in the heat, but really dry in the rain.
 
I like Teknic stuff..I have leather sport pants and a leather jacket. Both really comfortable and made really well for the price. Teknic Chicane gloves are on sale right now in a few places and are a great deal at about $40 I think.
 
I'll have to go against the grain and say "it depends on the price". I have a tecknic 2 pc suit and the fitment is not perfect. There's a bit of sag in some places and the pants doesn't hold up like it should.

I'm sure the higher end stuff will be better.
