Ontario laws for the color of marker lights on motorcycles

In Ontario are there specific rules for the color of the marker lights? From what I have seen on stock they are either amber or white.

For instance on the R6 there between the headlight just a little on top is a third smaller marker light which appears to be white.

I was wondering if a marker light could be red/redish or bluish.

No red lights facing forward, unless it's an emergency vehicle and I believe, no blue lights anywhere, unless you're a cop or a snow plow. I don't think there are restrictions on any other colour.

There are other restrictions, my friend got pulled over because his fog lights (on his car, would assume same applies to bikes) were a little green, which is for volunteer fire fighters according to the cop. Best bet would be to go to a station (or call) and throw the question at them and see what they say.

Just a little backgroud. I am trying to order a HID projector kit from ebay to be my auxilary lighting when I am on highway out of the city where lighting is a problem.

However, the HID comes with angle eye (white) and devil eye (which has reddish tint). I was planning on keeping these on in the city to be my market light. Worse case scenario I will only keep the angel eye (white on).

White angel eye is fine, Red devil eye will get you in trouble.

You are allowed blue as in LED accents as long as they are not facing forward or intermittent.
IntermittentGreen is off duty firefighters.

The best bet is to check the HTA

+1 .. HTA has all you need to know including gems like:

Red and blue lights to the front restricted
(14.1) In addition to the lighting requirements in this Part, a police department vehicle may carry lamps that cast red and blue lights, but no other motor vehicle shall carry any lamp that casts red and blue lights to the front. 2007, c. 13, s. 17 (2).

What about solid green as a marker light?

Signal No, You need amber on the front and red or amber on the rear.

Marker...... Thats a good question. I don't see anything on it.

Not to be picky but intermittent(flashing) green lights indicate a volunteer firefighter on his way to an emergency.

Ya, thats right, I should have known as I do have 2 of those in the family.

The projectors are fine because if you throw a HID onto a bike without those, you'll blind the heck out of others.

I got white LEDs on my bike, it's fine.

White LEDs are fine for signal too.

You can have any coloured LED accents on your bike as long as it's not flashing, or facing outwards.

I once got a ticket for having blue-color marker lights on my Toyota MR2 car, pity because they looked cool and turned heads around.
