Ontario Cycle Salvage closing

They were decent people. Sent a bunch of people there and they were treated well and fairly.

I was hoping this was going to be some other Ontario Cycle Salvage... thanks for the oil pans

only a small number of ppl actually work on bikes that need salvage parts.

New gen just buys new ****.

Bought two motorcycles there, including my first, after McBride's tried to upsell me.

I'll be sorry to see it go. I'm not sure what my friend who seemed to be in there every other week is going to do now.

That's sad. They didn't even charge outrageously

eBay, Kijiji put places like that out of business these days, unless they start selling on the internet.

Right by my house will go by this week and see what's up been going there for years walked past it to school for years

Haven't been there for a long time, but really sad to see it go

Go to TO Cycle Salvage instead? Unless thats closed now too, I havent been there in a couple years.

But yeah, like people said, you cant really have a salvage yard in the city, that lot alone is probably worth a couple million, you gotta sell a looooottt of old carbs and engine blocks to justify having premium land. Its a lot cheaper to buy a field in the middle of butt**** nowhere and sell parts online.

Still open. Drive by there every day on my way to work. I'm sure they're gearing down for end of season though. Always see people milling about and plenty of bikes out front.

As for another moto shop closing it's very sad. There's less and less cycle shops around and with people going online for most of their purchases I think this trend will continue downward. I was sad to see the shop on Kipling close...Parker Brothers as I enjoyed going there and it was very close. Pro6 is just a few blocks north so that's where I go if I need something taken care of nowadays, unless I can do it myself.

Agreed. Business has evolved and lots of older places aren't keeping up. Admittedly some of the guys running the shops pre-date modern computing but you gotta keep with the times.

I stand corrected....that sucks.
Not really. Ralph is an *******.
