Hi, long story short I stripped my drain plug in the oil pan. Got it heli-coiled, now im leaking oil from the plug I tightened as much as I can without stripping again but still leaking oil. Any suggestions what to do other then buying a new oil pan? Bikes a 95 zx6r. Thanks

You used a new gasket on it right?

If you used one of the stock ones, it's likely a metal one. Try switching to a softer metal one (copper), or even a rubber one.

^ Yup would try this first. If that doesn't work maybe you can have a hole tapped for a larger bolt? Otherwise a trip to the bike yard might be in order

Remove the plug, clean the plug and the mating surface on the pan . Apply some rtv made by locktite or permatex or whoever to the mating surface on the plug, smooth with finger making sure the flange is covered and there is a small fillet of it in by the threads.. reinstall and you should be good... As long as the bolt will snug up , the rvt will keep the oil in fine .... might want to wait 20 minutes to let the rtv skin up before you put the oil back in ..
