As others have said, these tickets are going to be horrendous. I would consider Redline or a real lawyer to help you with this. Good luck.

Since stuff like this has already played out a number of times on these very forums, I would advise you to be extremely careful about what you say here. You might want to take notes on your interactions with the police, particularly concerning things you said yourself, while they are still fresh in your memory.

they arent 'off-road' fines (like you would get for speeding on trails)

they are "off-road vehicle on highway" fines, like you would get for driving vehicles not licensed for the street.

If one of those tickets involves operating an uninsured vehicle on a highway, then you could be looking at a $5000.00 to $25,000.00 fine for that alone. You want to obtain a lawyer.

K I went to someone like redline , xcopper and they said its different from a motor vehicle which doesint make sense but max fine is 400$ for no insurance one... Said he'd likely get all the others thrown out and maybe get the no insurance reduced but not likely . Thanxs

Do your research on your representation as a lot of them will promise the world with not yet knowing all the details.

Do not go to X-Copper for these tickets. DO NOT GO TO X-COPPER FOR THESE TICKETS

Not having your insurance card with you, for a vehicle that is insured, is a fine of between $100.00 and $500.00. Not having insurance is a fine of $5000.00 to $25,000.00. It depends on whether you were charged under Section 23 of the HTA, or under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

X copper is not like redline it is a scam and will do nothing for you. Get redline or a lawyer.

HTA s.23 is for commercial vehicles. Not having an insurance card for a non-commercial motor vehicle is a $65 fine under the Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act.

X Copper is NOT like Redline! That I can attest to personally! :)

OP may have got lucky and was charged under the "Off Road Vehicles Act" Sec 15(1) "No person shall drive an off-road vehicle unless it is insured under a motor vehicle liability policy in accordance with the Insurance Act. R.S.O. 1990, c. O.4, s. 15 (1)"

If so he caught a break as he was using a motor vehicle on a highway, which means 4(1) of CAIA applies; 5,000-25,000. Not uncommon to see 1,000 issued though...
