OEM vs aftermarket

SOrry if this thread already exits, tried searching for it, nothing came up.

I recently crashed my bike and need to buy some parts. I ve been looking online and notcied that the
aftermarket parts are a bit cheaper then OEM.

Are they just as safe?

What kind of parts are you talking about?

Big difference depending on application.
E-bay levers might work well, but there's no way i'm putting in a set of Chinese pistons!
