OEM exhaust donations needed..........

If you are looking to get rid (for free...) of your OEM exhaust(s) then let me know. I have a few projects a friend and I are working on and would really appreciate some donated exhausts.

Sport exhaust preferred but most any will do.

Cheers

Feel free to have my GS500 Stock exhaust

I've still got my 650R stock can if you're interested.

@ Dayao12 & Zaneris: I will be in Toronto during the weekend. I will be at Allen/Sheppard at work. I can get away possibly around 2PM on Saturday but it might be on sunday. If you two would like to PM me a time and date whre we can meet that would be great.

BTW, if anyone has an R6 or CBR stock exhaust can(s) they want to donate it would be appreciated.

We are trying to configure a Yamaha Vision to have more modern exhaust system. Currently the only aftermarket ones are from MAC Exhausts.

You guys better hang on to your stock cans. Depending on the aftermarket exhaust you have, you may have a hard time getting a mechanic to sign a safety certificate to sell. If the mechanic won't, you'll be the one(s) placing an add like this.

hahaha really?

this does no fall in to the category of safety.

and i feel bad if anyone has ever come across this problem, check here for places to get your safety...there are even mobile safety guys.

just go to Rosey Toes for a safety...He'll safety anything with 2 wheels, handlebars and some blinkers.

Exhaust actually is looked at during a safety. On a car, are the cat(s) present? Are there any holes/leaking joints in the exhaust that could cause CO poisoning to the driver/passengers? If the exhaust is aftermarket, is it properly installed? Touching brake lines etc? On a bike...is the bike equipped with passenger pegs? If so, could the slip-on burn the passenger? Is the slip-on mounted properly...away from brake lines/hoses/plastics? Does it exceed 90 DB? If so, this is where it's up to the mechanic (and his license) discretion. It is safety related 'cause you can't hear your surroundings i.e a car honking at you, an emergency vehicle (police, ambulance) behind you. Most aftermarket exhausts state "for racing only." Some mechanics will sign anything. Some won't. Typically a dealership will be more strict on safeties than garages as they have a reputation to uphold. I'd hate to be in the position of looking for my stock can that I threw away or donated out of stupidity. If the mechanic is a real prick, he can reject the silencer and ask for the OEM to be re-installed. He can do whatever he wants, it's his license, not the shops that's on the line with the MTO.

I bought a 1998 Honda VFR this summer and the guy i bought it from had installed a Micron carbon fibre slip-on. It is engraved on the end cap that it is for off-road use only. If a cop stops you and notices that ...
Plus, I leave for work at 6 a.m.
I was lucky to get a stock can for $80.
Now I'm shopping for another bike and I'm only going for bikes with stock cans or looking for stock cans on ebay/kijiji at the same time.
I think Hindle makes something called a stealth slip-on but I think it involves changing the baffle (at extra cost).

He told me I didn't need blinkers, I could just use hand signals!?

You can have my 08 R6 super shorty exhaust (totally OEM, still has the exup valve, etc). It's in brand new condition, not a mark on her.

And no, I'm never out Toronto way ;)
