Nut sizes and sockets etc

I've got a new Kawi ER6n and I'm trying to get some tools together for oil changes/chain adjusting etc. I've read some of the posts on torque wrenches but still have some questions. Anyone out there have a 650 Ninja or ER6n and can tell me the tools their using? Seems like the axle nuts are 26 & 27mm, and I'm having issues finding any sockets for these. I'm also not sure about a 1/2" torque wrench I saw on sale today at Cdn Tire. Would it fit the bill? Seemed like overkill to me. Also wondering about torquing the oil drain bolt and fuel filter. What type of torque wrench are you using when it's usually only rated to like 17 lb/ft or something like that, or are you just snugging it up using a socket wrench? Anyone with experience with these Kawasaki's (or any bikes for that matter ) and the tools your using for the work? Your input would be appreciated before I drop a load on tools. Here's a couple I was looking at today:

Were you to buy a torque wrench to use on the oil pan, you'd be buying a 3/8", not a 1/2". The thing is, it's not that great to use them anyway on the drain pan bolt because the threads are always covered in oil - you can still strip the threads using the specified torque settings. You're better off just making sure the crush washer isn't flattened and tightening it with a regular wrench or socket.

And 26-27mm sockets are usually for the front axle (and they'd be hex) ... you probably don't need anything that large for the rear, the socket set would have you covered. However, if you need to loosen the axle to adjust the chain on your bike, then you *will* want a 1/2" torque wrench.
