North Korea claims H-Bomb test

What about price of gas?
 
Looks like preparations A through G have failed, and 'Preparation H' has blown up.
 
This coming from the same regime where daddy had his first round of golf and got 18 hole in ones. Also the boom wasn't big enough for a fusion bomb apparently.

Well, it could be a really ****** fusion bomb. However it seems to be estimated at 10 kt yield, whereas their previous test in 2013 was estimated at a 7 kt yield, so not much of an improvement.

For comparison, Little Boy was 15 kt, Trinity was 20 kt (using plutonium as a fissile material instead of uranium, like this test is expected to be), and Fat Man was 21 kt.

I guess the next step for North Korea is convincing everyone that they can actually field weapons with nuclear warheads

If the world threatens to withhold perming lotion and Brill Cream from North Korea until they behave I think there will be peace.
 
whatever it was, it won't make a bit of difference in the grand scheme of things.

China will prop up North Korea because it insulates them from USA via South Korea.

South Korea does not want North Korea to fail because it is very scared of the economical consequences of absorbing a failed state (and therefore a forced reunification).

So no matter what Kim Il Sung does, he will get just enough foreign aid to keep the status quo. Any type of change will have to happen within North Korea. Meanwhile, the people starve.

Not good really. With the influx of mass immigrants, it's overly political correctness, it's causing a **** storm to the populace. See: New Years eve gang attacks on women.
 
I think the difference with Germany after the wall fell was that the East German populace had industrial and technical abilities that could help with reunification. North Koreans are utterly useless in that sense.
