North American International Motorcycle Supershow - Jan 3-5, any good?

Depends on what you're looking for....
Most brands have new bikes available to sit on there, except of course, the fancy new stuff that hasn't been released yet.
Tons of gear and crap available. It like half the complex is bikes/gear from reputable dealerships, the other half is a giant flea market.

Hmm I remember one of the shows was meh and like a flea market, I guess this is it. I could not remember which one I went to a few years ago, I feel like it was later in the winter than this. That one was a great show though, a lot of manufacturers with a lot of bikes on display.

Thanks.

I usually don't go but this year I need a helmet and happen to have baby sitter arranged (for something else), so I'll probably go.

The "Supershow" at the International Center is one of the, if not the, largest motorcycle shows in the world, that has been at the same location for over 20 years.
They must be doing something right.
new bikes, used bikes, accessories AND MYSTERY MEAT. They got it all.

If you want to shop NEW bikes, you want the manufacturers show at the Automotive building at the EX.
There is another show at the International Center in April (IIRC) that is more "Flea market".

For a lot of us the January show is a mid off season social event. The "show" is mostly the same year after year, but we go anyway.

I'll go if I win tickets...........wait for it....should be posted soon........

Where can we enter

I’m going either way but if I can get free tickets that’s a bonus.

I go every year. It's a smorgasbord of motorcycle stuff. The new bike area is mostly large dealers, they bring a ton of new bikes so you can see just about everything that can be bought and delivered as of the show date. I have purchased a couple of bikes at the show, I found the prices to be fantastic. A couple of years back my wife bought an S40 Suzuki -- it was 2 years old, pink & white with 1200km on the clocks, and had been sitting on the floor at a Suzuki dealer for more than a year. She paid $2500 out the door and they stored the bike for free till April. A friend of mine bought a new 2 year old VFR1200x, kind of an oddball too, for 12K out the door. That was about $7k cheaper than a new bike.

The vintage and custom bike halls are interesting if you're into old stuff, as are the MX and trials areas. Dealers bring a lot of last years gear, tires and accessories to clear out, MC clubs and tour promoters have lots of handouts that can be useful for trip planning. If your a pirate, you'll love the cheap apparel, boots, and cruiser bling in the flea market.

Fun day immersed in motorcycles in the dead of winter.

Don't forget that some dealers have accessory sales that can't be beaten....25% off the latest stuff and doesn't have to be in stock? Good deals on old and new stuff availablel. And there are some brands actually represented. Last year Kawasaki and Harley and I believe Triumph had their actual manufacturer setup. And people watching galore!

I've been before and I'm going again, taking my 8 year old son for his first time so I'm excited about that. He's taken a big interest in motorcycles lately (wonder where he gets that lol) and I'm looking forward to showing him all the different types of bikes.

At this show, you are not going to see many 2020 motorcycles. (Maybe some Harleys, last year there weren't even any 2019 Kawasaki's only 2018 ones.
The February show is where you are going to see all the new 2020 motorcycles.
But you should go to both shows, there's nothing to do in the winter.:p

the Jan one is my fave of the 3
not all the 2020 stuff will be there, but most of it

really good show for gear and accessories
GP basically brings the whole store and has big discounts

and where else can you sit at a plastic table and get $13 beers?

Agree with all the supporting posts.

Great deals to be had if you’ve done your research.

Lately, I’ve found myself not in the market for anything but just want to bask in the glow of fellow riders.

Great. I will keep an eye on it

I’m not sure if I have been to the January one but for sure the April one but about 15 yrs ago

I think I bought my first helmet and jacket there

I will be going to this January one .

I was hoping to look for a helmet at a discount but I got lucky and got one during Black Friday from revzilla. I was able to save approx $350 CAN compared to buying it here, (Shoei GT Air II) I don’t think I would be able to save that much at any show or store discount here.

Anyways. There is always gear or accessories you “need”.
