Apparently police operations resulted in a bunch of arrests and the seizure of 20+ illegal guns prior to the parade, so I would say that it did pay off.
Pretty sad huh?, They should learn a lesson from the gay pride parade. I would much rather see those girls sprayed with water than bullets

Yeah, very much a response to the Danzig shooting. Unfortunately with current staffing levels, this kind of crackdown can't last forever. There's been a 2-year hiring freeze and loss of members through attrition with no one to fill the spots.
Glad to hear that Caribana went off with no major problems.
