nitrous oxide bottle capacity

Does anybody know how to convert lbs. to volume (cc) in nitrous oxide bottles? I'd love to use one for a custom oil tank.

update: Found a vendor giving physical dimensions. A 2.5lbs. bottle holds about 3.1 litres. Now, where to find a used bottle? Anyone? Bueller?

more update: Dumb idea, it could work easily but building tank from scratch, while more expensive, will be slicker.

i think you have to work with boyles law on that one... different gasses have different weights. planning on hotrodding your sail boat?
