So there's a white 2011 Ninja 250 i really like. Its the spexial edition what about 3500k i was wondering if its a fair deal at 3800 ? Its well kept and i see the going rate is 3500$ for other ninjas with the same mileage.
Is it a fair price to pay ? I feel its not. Just want some piece of mind.

Owner says he paid $300 extra for the special edition in white ? Will it hold its resale in 2 seasons ?
 
How badly do you want a special edition? What if I told you that they just flip a coin on which color to call the special edition and then charge more for that one? You said yourself there are comps for $300 less, so why not save $300?
 
New Fairings cost like $500... Plastidip costs like $10
 
$3500 for a '11? ive been told a brand new one is $4000ish.

As for the special edition if you like it you should get it, I would have paid $300 for my bike to have a sick paint job.
 
Most special edition (paint only) bikes lose almost all of their specialness on the resale market. It doesn't matter that he paid extra for paint. If it's a good color, the bike sells for a little more, if it's an ugly color, a little less. Is white worth $300 to you? Only you can answer that and you can't count on the person you sell the bike to also being willing to pay more for white.
 
We paid $4300+taxes for the wife's 2011 SE in white brand new as a non-current in 2012. If we were to sell it today with 4000km on it we would ask $3500 firm.
