alright boys and girls i have another problem with my brothers bike- 2009 ninja 250r, bought the bike with a koso gauge installed and its really sick, as i was riding it home for him i noticed that the gauge started with 270km, it got up to ~400km then i turned off the bike, when i turned it back on it went back to 270km which i have since figured out to be due to a missing wire. there is supposed to be a wire which runs hot, direct to the battery, it is a supplied red wire that plugs in to a red wire via a bullet connector. so the problem is that this wire is not there, and that i cannot find the place to plug in that wire, it appears that the previous owner switched all the connections to his own preference (assuming he cut, stripped and installed different connections) so normally i would be looking for the one and only bullet style connector but instead im left searching for a red wire which has no connection on the other end. so far no good, so if anyone can help me out anyway possible id love it. what i really would like to do is see a 250r with a koso hooked up properly so i can see the difference or if someone can look and just tell me that would be great too. if it helps the bike is a 09 kawi 250r, koso rx2 with plug and play kit. thanks in advance

im trying to do that, but cannot figure out which wire to connect to the battery cuz all the connections are changed

This does not sound like it can be diagonosed over the inter-web ; someone needs to test out connections and how that gauge has been setup.

There should be 3 wires going to the battery :
BLACK => Negative
RED = > Positive (RED wire is constant power which is connected directly to the battery)
BROWN = > Positive (BROWN wire is the Positive trigger power which turns on the unit)
and usually if the it not saving the mileage then you are missing the brown wire..
