Ninja 250R Dirty Sight Glass - Advice on cleaning? Add Seafoam to oil?

I'm planning to do an oil change this week and I noticed the sight glass is extremely dirty and dark. I bought my bike used 2 months ago, and this will be my first oil change.

I've read online that after a few oil changes, the problem will take care of itself.

Another person suggested adding Seafoam to the oil.

Anyone have any other suggestions or can vouch for any of the solutions above? Thanks!

Since the bike was purchased used, I am assuming you don't know when the oil was last changed. I would just do an oil and filter change and see if that clears it up. With regards to the seafoam. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought seafoam's primary use is for treating fuel related issues (carb cleaning, rough idling, poor starts, fuel stabilizer etc). I don't think it's intended to be mixed with oil.

People have been mixing that stuff with oil and pouring it into their vacum lines for 70 years.Apparently it dissolves gum and varnish and frees up stuck piston rings in older engines when the oil and gas wasn't as good as it is today.

When you add it to oil, only add it soon before an oil change.
