Hi, just noticed a nick in one of the fork seals after the trackday yesterday. How serious is it? Would you say I should definitely replace it before I go out again, or it's not that bad? If it matters---it doesn't leak.

^^ what he said. Your fork seal is under neath that. You have a crack in your scraper :)

When you get John to fondle your forks he will put new scrapers and seals in there :D

Spoke to John, will be sending the forks Monday or Tuesday. Hope I make it for the 23rd :)

I just wonder how the bike will behave with upgraded front suspension, but the same crappy OEM shock in the back...

If you let John know you have a track day on the 23rd he will absolutely have them back to you in lots of time.

Just don't be too aggressive on the throttle on exit of corners, it'll overload your shock, bounce/slide and eat up your tire like a mofo :( With your new forks practice very heavy/late braking and more corner speed with your more stable front end with better feedback :)

*WARNING: Following any of my advice may cause you to die or worse. Use with caution.

Hahaha, love the "warning" :)

Anyways, like I mentioned in the other thread, I'm having a few second thoughts. Money-wise, this suspension upgrade might cost me a few trackdays, so I'll think it over, sleep on it, and then make a decision.. I have to do the suspension, but it's much easier sourcing the funds in the winter when there are no trackday fees, tires, pool pump, pool heating, and whole bunch of other expenses.. it's a trade-off I have to make

....or change the springs myself, hmm... won't be perfect, but it will be better.
