NFL ref fiasco

Listening to the Dean Blundel show was hilarious this morning.

That call in the end was a joke. Two refs standing over top the same pile one calling it a TD, the other waving an interception.

But I do really feel sorry for these replacement refs. They got put into these big times games with no experience at all. Some of them have not even refed a game with more than a 100 spectators.

Hopefully NFL resolved the despute soon or the game's integrity will suffer seriously.

At least they have a season!

I'd rather they didn't. This season will have an Asterisk next to it in the history of the League for most botched games.

[/QUOTE=regder;1897384]Was watching TSN at the gym, every other second they were showing the clip. Absolutely ridiculous, can't believe the NFL is standing behind this call

A story came out today that some of the refs were fired from the Lingerie Football League because they were so bad

Lingerie League.....Is this a surprise? I don't think my eyes would be on the ball either.

Clearly not the refs fault this season is the way it is. I mean sure, they're supposed to get calls right most of the time but we are talking about refs with minimal experience.
People should stop blaming them and look at the real reason behind replacement refs. I'm glad the owners/commissioners decision to lock out real refs is backfiring.

What's absolutely silly is that all it takes is $3.2 Million to solve this in a league that expects to have $9 Billion (with a B) in revenue this year alone.

Ridiculous.

Actually, what I think is ridiculous how much people care about NHL, NFL ... you name it. It's retarded the addiction people have for this in North America.

Ridiculous is when your own PM doesn't want to release details of budget cuts (which could directly effect you) and gets away with this in modern democracy. Bunch of bad refs blowing games, or overpaid puck movers being locked out by stupid rich owners? .... not worth even talking about it. Let them be.

Refs are back. 7year deal.
They could be back to work as early as tomorrow for the Thursday night game.

Couldn't agree more.
