This upcoming morning group ride will be directed for those newbies on cbr125s or ninja 250s.

I ride a cbr125, looking to gather a group of newbies and hoping for some experienced riders to lead us and give us pointers.

Anyone interested or would like to edit or partner up with me to create this group, please feel free to do so.

"lets ride at our own pace..."

SATURDAY, AUGUST 13 @9AM @ PACIFIC MALL SOUTH ENTRANCE

I'm down if I don't work. I ride a sv650 this is my forth month riding so still a newb. Would like to get some group rides in before season ends since my last group ride resulted in me crashing so would like to get out with some fellow newbs

I will show.

Hey chin.r I thought you were signed up for the ride to the Kawarthas last Saturday? The rides were hosted by some great leads! Lightcycle, EnglishJ and others. They really know what their doing and are extremely approachable if you have any Q's.

might be interested, weather and route pending

I would love to have attended this. If you do another next weekend i'll sign up.
Any plans to get rides together for week nights? I have two other "mature" (in attitude) riders who are new as well that would be interested in joining though they do not ride a 125/250.....Ride safe guys .....some advice...be sure to firmly establish the rules of the ride with everyone before you leave the parking lot, no exceptions and have a good sweep at the back....

NealT is being mean to me with the sweep comment.

yeah i signed up, the host said if i cant do at least 80km/hr then its best not to join....so eh. u know i didnt go.

Hahaha.....no problems, we wouldn't have left you behind....I was watching, i'm sure Gill and Brooke were as well...we have to get out again....

don't hate on me for saying this, but calling together a bike meet for newbies to ride together may not be the safest of things to do to get more experience on a new bike.

if history is any indicator, you're going to get overwhelmed by a lot of newbies and not enough experienced leaders.

We will. I promise that I am much better now. =D

None taken I am sure, I suppose if I could go my (almost 20k) of experience would add to the experience level. Hopefully someone with more mileage will sign up but I do agree it's probably not the wisest to have all new riders in the entire group (including lead as well).

it's happened a couple times to me before. You show up and there's 20 to 40 bikes and everyone's green. It makes for a nice parade, but that's about it.

No, no busabob, some things need to be said so thanks for bringing it up as we want the riding environment to be safe and enjoyable. I mentioned to OP and this thread is first and foremost a calling for experienced riders to lead a ride post rather than a 'hey fellow newbies, let's gather together and hammer one out' kind of post.' I hope everyone understands that. If NealT saddles up to lead, great.

Also, as a qualified Asian I advise against anyone, especially newbies, from meeting a pmall. It's hell getting to the parking lot [looool, coming from steeles onto kennedy] and it's hell inside the parking lot.

Try to get more experience riders if you can. if there's alot newbs shows up try to divide the the group. you guys ride safe.

and dont meet at Pac-mall!

enjoy =)

lennay1031 is right, how about nealT lead and rearrange everything that i have said?!?...please go ahead and do so...I AM ASKING FOR an EXPERIENCED LEADER(S).

I would really love to but I have a commitment I cannot dodge this weekend. If you are willing to re-schedule or re-run for next weekend I would be willing to sign up.
An alternative is to put together a series of smaller week night rides, this would reduce the group size and allow for better group dynamics. Plus with more than one ride scheduled not everyone needs to feel the pressure to attend, so the group should naturally be smaller and easier to handle.
