Anyone interested in a backroads ride to Bike Night at Haugen's BBQ on Thurs evening? With the great weather forecasted, there should be at least 500 bikes there.
I scouted out a great scenic backroads ride from Oshawa to Haugens via Uxbridge. There is about 5 km of gravel road (40 km/h speed limit), but amazing scenery on that stretch! The trip to Haugen's takes between 50 - 60 min. - the ride home considerably shorter (30 min or so.)
Newbie friendly... secondary roads at +10 km/h max and home before dark. Things wrap up at Haugens around 8 pm - everyone can find their own way home from there, or follow me back to the 'shwa.
