Purchased a 2012 wr250r not too long ago. Here's some pics. I'm excited to start modding this bike out. I've already picked up full FMF pipe and fuel programmer. I used to own a DRZ400sm and I find the WRR to be more nimble. Can't really notice too much of a power difference, even if the WRR is slower it makes up for it in how nimble and light it feels. Only thing I don't like so far about it, is that I've notice some paint chiping from the front part of the frame where the tubes come together right where the top of the skid plate would be. My guess is that it's paint chipping from the frame flexing while being ridden off road. Anyways I'm looking forward to finally being able to ride at Ganaraska.

In this one I've installed a Rotopax on the rear fender. Need to find new mirrors cause these ones are no good off road.

I have some DoubleTake mirrors on mine. Was at the Ganny yesterday and folded the mirrors out of the way.

Since you don't yet have handguards, if you go with the highwaydirtbikes.com setup, you can get integrated mirrors that fold away.

Nice bike. Congrats, but ..... I have the DRZ and have ridden few times WR250. Yes it is a tiny bit more nimble, but there's a noticeable power and torque difference. The problem with WR is that it's too heavy for a 250 (should be under 300lbs, but it is not). You have to rev the crap out of it, like any 4T small singles.

If you plan to use it mainly off road and occasionally paved road than I could see how I'd like 250 better, but for any paved road mainly I'd rather stick with the 400. I wish Yamaha came out with a 450 clone of WR250 .... it would probably be around 9-10K (guessing by 7.5K for 250) which would make it too much in comparison with DRZ, but I would give it a serious look.
