Hello everyone, just wanted to throw an introduction post up, having moved from Halifax to Oshawa this winter I've just finished a nice long ride bringing my bike here.
I've returned to riding a couple of years ago after giving it up when I went off to university. I'm presently beating up a WeeStrom I bought last fall after coming back from a tour in Afghanistan.
I work in the financial services industry (deployed to Afghanistan as an Army Reservist) in Durham Region, and I'm moving back into Oshawa having lived here for a few years previously.
I used to ride when I was a teenager, but I sold my bike to fund my schooling and never got around to getting another one until a couple of years ago when my friend (who owns a dealership in Nova Scotia) finally persuaded me to saddle up again. I bought an Intruder for him, put a ton of miles on it in one summer, and decided to go for something new.
So, if you're out riding and see an orange Wee with a Nova Scotia license plate, that's me (for the next few weeks anyhow until I get it replated). I've only ever seen one other bike that looks like mine, just by chance last week when I was up near Newmarket, A guy had one done up really nicely, he looked as shocked as I did to see a twin of his bike.
I'm free most weekends to go exploring, I'm saddened a bit by how hard it is to find twisty roads here compared to Nova Scotia, but that's life... I'm sure I'll find some.
