Imagine the cost of those sphere-tires, especially when those triple-tyne-motors will transfer say 70HP (average 650 street-bike) to its surface :lmao:
And what is advantage of side-rolling for a bike??? parallel parking?

Hmm... When I clicked on the video, I expected a proof of concept that would be a a little more advanced than what looks like a hobby Arduino project.

Yes but it's almost the same concept. With a sphere, how are you going to have grip on the roads?

They're doing it as a proof of concept but are aware of the limitations and already mentioned that the actual applications of the technology would lie more in the direction of controlled environments, like forklifts in warehouses.
