On 15th side rd just before the second S turn heading east from Guelph line.

I live just off the 15th and there seems to be a bike in that ditch every weekend.
Be safe out there.

Is that a sign warning of motorcycles or telling motorcycles to slow down?

I think its a warning sign for "bikes being extracted from ditch" lmao
Could be for both. Considering the number of bikes you've seen ditched there, I would have to give a thumbs up to the MTO for placing a sign there.

Side Rd. 15 has been ruined anyhow, just like many other roads in Ontario.
Compacted gravel surface. We're slowly going back in time.

Gravel again? I guess that means the residents won't have to "augment" the road from their own personal resources. Can't condone them, but can't blame them either given all the nutbars that go through there like it was race track.

So you're taking the Switzerland position?

My first thought was the sign translated to "Nimby Neighbourhood". Then I checked the air photo and found a big estate lot subdivision in the middle of nowhere at that intersection. Translation supported! As Griff says, watch out for local A-holes.

Odd....you'd think it would look more like a Harley with ape bars then... lol

With the amount of riders cutting the corner and going around blind in the wrong lane, not to mention the number of guys who bin it on that road......it's hardly nimby. It can be down right dangerous on a nice saturday afternoon. The size of the neighbourhood has nothing to do with it

You're right, any road in Ontario that has a couple curves in it should be signed for motorcycles to slow down!

What's the harm. I ride in the area and grew up in the area and I'm not offended by a sign. This one stretch of road, as sad as this is, is one of the busiest motorcycle roads around.

I don't react well to anything that reeks of "Nanny State".

I tend to do my riding more north and east of the City, where there are many more curves like those with no signs. I guess riders in that neck of the woods get complacent with straight roads then loose it when confronted with a couple curves.

They must. It's a very regular occurrence. I've seen more guys sitting at the edge of the ditch, hands in head, in those 3 's' bends than pretty much anywhere else I ride combined. My folks live out that way so I'm thru there all of the time

I wonder how many motorcycles over the years have been embedded in the guardrail on the Forks of the Humber?

Got a google maps link?
I'm not sure where this is
