Just got my self a new to me 2009 ninja 250 to start off with. Wanted a sv650 but insurance was way to much being only 22.

Hate that m1 expires after90 days , gotta wait or it will expire before the first m2 course starts :(

Hey Cory, congrats on the bike and gj taking the right step by getting a quote from insurance first. As for your license, you can get your m1 whenever you want and renew it again by taking the test before it expires. This will help get the timer going for time being licensed for a few months longer if it matters to you and it only costs $15.

Welcome and have fun on your 250 come spring! Man every time I see people getting 250s I miss seeing my old one sitting in the garage.
 
You and me both bud! I just got myself a '10 250 Ninja. Whereabouts are you located? Let's hope the next few months pass soon so we can hop on our baby superbikes asap!
 
I'm located in Oakville , how about you? Yeah man I just wanna get my m1 and ride around my neighbor hood legally on the days it isn't to snowy out. Gunna try and pick up a jacket at the show this weekend hopefully so it's a little warmer aha.

I hate the wait we go through until spring time comes, but you get used to it lol
 
Got myself a new helmet and installed a new tail light to eliminate separate turn signal lights. Can't help but spend some money on the bike i got the itch even though ill sell it most likely after a year aha.

How does the wiring go with this? I have had to cut my two wires that go to the tail-lights when I installed my FE kit. How would this hookup go?
 
It's has a harness that connects to all the oem plugs. You could splice it If you already cut your stuff but I prefer plug n play connectors. Real easy to install, took me like 10 minutes
 
You haven't started riding and you're doing mods already :D gj and congrats on the bike. We never forget the first time ;)
 
I feel your pain. I got my Ninja 500r late October. I had maybe three good days I could take it out. I got a taste, only to have to wait four months to get the full thing.
 
Congrats and welcome -- I was essentially in your shoes last year, with M1 in Feb and a CBR250RA waiting for me. Get ready to hate winters more next year lol.
 
OP, how much did you pay for that '09 with all those mods?

i think you and just about every rider on here is waiting for spring lol .. its a nasty cycle that happens every winter lol
