Hey guys I am a new rider and new to forums. I had a question, I just got my M1 recently and am 22 years old I went to GP Bikes and saw a 2010 Ninja 250R with 3000 km on it and a aftermarket exhaust for $4100, I have been looking over the used bike sections for weeks and have seen roughly the average price to be 3500 as asking or best offer. The financing would be 109 a month and that includes a dealership warranty. I feel slightly more comfortable buying from them as if I have an issue I would at least have somewhere to turn to help me hopefully. I was curious as to if it is better to go with a used at the 3500 asking and try to go lower depending on km/condition/mods ect or to go with the dealer route of things. I also forgot to mention I get a 20 percent off card for all new riding gear from GP and the only item I have is a old textile jacket from my neighbor. Thanks and all the threads I have read to help me understand a bit more and get my M1 have been great!

No point financing. Save your money. Think about how quickly the costs add up of riding, and you'll see your only digging yourself a hole.

- base price bike
- interest
- maintenance
- gas
- insurance
- gear

You get the idea. Best to wait and save.

Get your M2 before buying the bike. Or at the very least, get insurance quotes first with your M1. You're 22 and newly licenced with an M1... Be prepared for the astronomical prices they're going to give you!

And I agree with the above ^ Don't finance a $4100 bike. Save up and pay cash.

Welcome!!

Welcome to the forum, insurance quote is a must before going much further. (Perhaps the OP is looking to establish a credit rating?).
