New Rider out of Mississauga

Hey all, I'm David. Just recently started riding, super fresh, and I'm enjoying it. Haven't been going very far, just recently tried riding in more populated roads (went up Burnhamthorpe, and then circled down to Mississauga Rd). Interesting experience riding in traffic, I thought I'd be a bit more freaked out, but it's not that bad. Of course I rode when there was not a lot of traffic, so my feelings will likely change over time when I get in the middle of a lot of vehicles.
Anyways, does anyone have recommendations on what routes I should try out near the Square One area? I just want something that can help me get into the groove of riding, and get whatever practice/experience I can. Thanks all! Hope to see you guys and gals on the road.

Welcome David! I am in Brampton not far from Mississauga , let me know if you ever down to ride.
 
Hi David. I'm a new rider myself. I ride a lot in the area by meadow wood. Silverbirch and such, the back area is nice for practice. I also like to go down southdown past Orr Road and straight down into oakville(nice long road). I also find a long stretch down lakeshore to mississauga road is nice to.

I'll look around for you, I'm riding a red cbr250, red helmet, red jacket, red gloves..you get the idea:)

Sounds good Mathan, I do visit the Brampton area from time to time, so it'd be cool to ride. Do you do any groups rides up in Brampton? I've heard there's some nice routes North of Brampton/Georgetown area.

Haha Shane, I'll keep an eye out for a dude in max level red. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give them a try next time I'm out!
 
Ya we have a group of brampton riders in a whatsapp group and plan group rides once in a while. Ya a lot of nice twisty roads north of brampton.
