New Rider out of Durham

Hello All,

I'm a new rider in the Durham Region area. Got my M1 back in April, completed my M2 exit course in July... Broke my arm the week after playing rugby.
Just got myself my first bike a couple weeks ago, and it's been fun. Still getting used to it, but I absolutely love it so far.

Went for a chilly ride yesterday evening, and will probably ride it for another couple weeks during the days (+16 this weekend!).
Looking forward to some warmer riding.

It would be nice to get to know some people in the area to ride with, once I'm a little more comfortable riding on my own.

I haven't played since university in the early 90s; herniated lower back discs ended my playing days.
 
That's too bad, but definitely understandable.
Do you find riding aggravates anything? What do you ride?
 
Riding can aggravate my back problems, but usually not badly. Probably my cruiser and scooter are worst for that, as road shock goes right up towards the spine. My VFR is better, because I can stand a bit on the pegs so my legs take the shock.
