Hi guys I recently passed my humber training course about 2 months ago. I am getting a ducati 749 for dirt cheap from a family member up in BC. Can anyone refer me to a shipping company with good rates? thanks

welcome!! check kijiji there is an ad that I checked I was quoted about $500 but it needs to be crated
good luck

Try the Harley dealer in Oshawa. Mackies? They had a shipping service IIRC but they take their time doing a round of Canada and the USA picking up and dropping off. $500 sounds light though. Crating might be a better way, especially if you can get a used crate from a dealer.

How old are you? Do you have a full G? Have you been licenced for 5+ years? 2 or less tickets on record?

If you're under 30 and do not qualify for State Farm insurance will rape your *** long, hard and dry on the 749. Just warning you. Might want to get a quote first before shipping the bike over. That "dirty cheap" bike might not be so dirt cheap.

Welcome. Enjoy your bike.

How much is your insurance going to be, if you don't mind me asking? 749 is my favourite bike!

Try TFX for shipping quote, they advertise on this site.

Welcome!!

yes gota quote from tfc 799 + hst shipped. my insurance rate was quoted at $1749 full coverage with state farm. Thanks for the welcome guys!

I'm also a fan of the 749. What colour did you get? The thing keeping me off of a SS is the posture; my poor body aches after just an hour.

You might consider riding from BC to Toronto. It'd be a nice way to get used to the bike. However, if you haven't had much street riding practice then it's not a great idea (though if you haven't had riding practice, the 749 is a bit much to start on in the first place).

I got the ducati 749 dark. Yeah if I had much more riding experience I probably would've considered riding back here lol. But yeah I know it will be a bit too much to start with, but I will be very cautious while riding

welcome to riding and to the ducati family. There are a few ducati rides during the riding season. Hope to see you out there. I'm also in Etobicoke. You will love the bike..
