hey guys, i'm new to the forum here. i came over from JDMRIDES.ca and i know that a few members from that forum are also active members here.

here's just my background in the automotive world. i got my own first car when i was 21. it was a 93 honda civic si coupe. that died because of some rust and just over 400000km. so i moved onto a 99 civic si coupe. when i did, i tried to get that same feeling i had when i first got my car. that car was involved in accident and had to be written off. then i moved onto a 2000 acura integra 4dr imported from the states. it was great, i had that feeling of fixing it up and getting new things for it. modding it here and there. but now i can truly say that i am finished with that car. like i said it was amazing but it kept me at bay from actually starting this hobby a year earlier. i feel that i have grown out of the "honda scene" which consists of a huge crowd of immature people as oppose to only a few good people, who i still keep in contact with.

which brings me to this forum. i got my m1 license after putting it off for over a year. i acquired it in august of this year.

my brother-in-law and a few of my really close friends got into the hobby, and a good friend of mine has been riding for over 10 years. and so they pushed me harder into getting my license. and once i did, that's all i cared about. it's pretty bad. LOL. i have not cared about my integra. i haven't washed it since i got my m1 license. i'm playing that saving game while still having my priorities within my life intact. the gf, finishing up my last year in university and all that other stuff. and so hopefully, next season i will be able to ride.

i'm really leaning towards getting a sport bike as opposed to a cruiser. i am scheduled to take my m1exit course on oct18-20 at durham college and i have been gathering up gear for that. i recently purchased my first helmet, boots and gloves.

shoei rf1100, teknic chicane street boots, five rfx gauntlets. i am borrowing a perforated textile joe rocket jacket from a buddy of mine. i am excited to say that i will be joining the forums even more. to learn and grow in the hobby. sorry if it was a long post. see you guys around the forum. happy riding and stay safe.

here a re a few pics of my helmet and boots.

Nice gears!, good luck on your M1 Exit course =).

welcome! good luck on ur m1 exit test and see you on ur m2 lic. nice boots but what made u go with the yellow helmet???

Yes nice boots, I'm looking at either those or the new TCX Wrap ones. You will fall in love with your new, probably third (and new #1) girlfriend, the bike.

welcome ... but did you ... instagram your m1..?
and where'd you get your boots?

I need a new pair.
I had the speed and strength ones that look just like that except they were 0/10 on comfort scale.

Thanks guys. And Mark, I already do not wanna drive my Integra. Lol. I'm over it. Ain't about that life.

As as for why I got my helmet in yellow, funny story and long story short, I drove around GTA just to find that specific color. I went to all the major shops and finally found it at the last stop of the day. My gf was actually getting annoyed at me for being so specific on the color. Anyway, the reason I got a yellow helmet is because Ayrton Senna is my favorite race car driver, and he wore a yellow helmet. You knew it was him driving when you see the day glow helmet peeking out of the F1 car. It's awesome.

And I bought the boots at GP during the no HST sale. It's still going on now. They have a few more sizes. So you guys should check it out. The boots are really comfortable considering they are riding boots. I've worn them for about 2 hours straight to work them in and my feet are normal. They are moisture wicking and let your feet breathe. But it's also waterproof. That was my main concerns due to doing my course late in October when it will most likely rain.

And for Instagraming my M1, I blocked off the important things, like last name, address and license number. All is well.
