Hi, just thought I'd make a post in the Introduction board. Since Ive been lurking about it for the past month or so without an account.
I live in the Caledon area just north of the GTA. I have always wanted to get into the world of motorcycles and this year I took the plunge. I got my M1, signed up for and recently completed the "Gearing Up" program at Humber College and picked up an 07 Honda CBR125. I hope to get it saftied, Insured and plated by the end of the week.
So thanks to the forum, It really has helped me out soo far when I was looking into what bike to get, whether a rider training program was worth the money and what insurance companies to look into.

Sounds like a smart choice for a first bike. My story is very similar but I started earlier in the season and I'm already out there enjoying the rides. Congrats on the bike. Ride safe. Enjoy. :)

Welcome to GTAM!! Great choice for a 1st bike - I can't tell you how many 125's I've seen late at night practicing on the small neighbourhood streets - Get comfortable on the bike this season and then you can move up next year - plus the insurance will be much more affordable on your 2nd year!
 
Thanks everyone. I got to say that even though the 125 doesnt have the power of alot of other bikes. Im really enjoying it. But I enjoy driving low powered vehicles to get the most out of them, having taken an Aveo on the Mosport DDT.

I drive an Aveo :)

And now a Kawasaki 250 - Just got it a few days ago.
