New Insurance Quotes

If anyone read my previous thread I was getting a bit upset as my current insurance company "The Personal" who I have my car, house and bike with are still charging me what I see as alot of money ($1600+/year) for my 1997 VFR750. That, plus I now live in the middle of nowhere and I'm over 30 now.
The Personal has always been good to me and they have always been a little cheaper than SF, Duffy, RidersPlus, or any other place I have quoted.

Today I called The Personal and asked them to look over my policy to see if we can save some $$. (I was basically giving them a chance before I took my bike off) After some prying on my part we noticed my last ticket, which expired on March 24th, hasn't been removed from my policy. After about 45mins the broker said their system won't allow them to remove the ticket and so they are escalating it and putting a ticket on it and will call me back Monday. No problem. Nice guy.

In the meantime I called a few Insurance Companies for Motorcycle quotes.

A friend of my dad recommended Dalton Timmins Insurance, I think they're called. No answer. I left a Message.

I called Duffy. They quoted me $760 per year. PER YEAR!!! I couldn't believe it!.

I then called Riders Plus and they quoted me $761/year. I guess Duffy didn't make a mistake. both companies can't be wrong.

Both are quoting me with Intact Insurance. I'm blown away by the difference.

EDIT: I just got off the phone with TD.

They refused to offer me fire and theft because my bike is "too old".

So with Liability only TD quoted me $1241 per year. <--- and that's with the discount I get with my works association.

It's too old for Fire and Theft, but it's new enough to get dinged alot on the premiums.

In addition we can take 15% off that rate if we're insuring your auto and home.
